It would be impossible not to be drawn in by the magic of our Landhotel. Created by joining together two large Renaissance townhouses, Landhotel Mader has long been welcoming guests and offering a class of hospitality which imbues the hotel with a sense of charm. Every room is suited to the historic atmosphere of the hotel, whilst using contemporary warm colours and an attention to detail. Our room offerings range from ‘superior’ doubles and a variety of junior suites to a wedding suite and a family apartment.

REGIONAL AND SEASONAL CUISINE

Our dining areas invite you to feel welcome and to eat well, whether you choose our rustic Altwirth dining room, our elegant Schubert room or our wine cellar. You can also eat under the stars in the Arkadenhof or indeed on the Schanigarten terrasse on the main square where you can watch the hustle and bustle of Steyr. Seasonal specialities and fresh produce of the region will make their way onto our menu. Some recipes have been cooked the same way since our grandmothers were at the stove; other culinary compositions will ensure an unforgettable romantic dinner or party.

ADVENT & NEW YEAR IN STEYR

Steyr is at the very heart of the "Christkindl-Region". You could undertake a memorable journey with the historic narrow-guage train to the beautiful winter setting of Steinbach an der Steyr. The "Christkindl" can still be enjoyed up to the end of the year in Steyr. On the evening preceding New Year’s Eve, you can take an evening’s stroll with the nightwatchmen in the old town. Perhaps a trip on the steam train to the Steyr valley, or a visit to the nail smithy in Dambach, a winter walk to the pilgrimage church in Christkindl. Mader’s Bar hosts a fabulously lively gala night to celebrate New Year’s Eve with live music, fireworks and no set closing time. On New Year’s Day, we extend our breakfast offerings into the afternoon.
